I loved this project!

The graffiti at the high school I attended got bad enough to the point where the faculty commissioned the art club (which consisted of just me an one other person at the time) to paint murals over the stalls to prevent it. I was gifted the opportunity to plan and paint -almost- anything. I chose to paint fun swirls inspired by Bridget Riley’s paintings from the 60’s. I love em’. I was planning on painting colorful swirls on the insides of the stalls as well but the outer part of the stalls took far too long.

I started painting it in spring quarter of my sophomore year and was able to finish it in winter of my junior year. It was very difficult balancing full time school, work, seminary (mandatory church for an hour and a half before school everyday), as well as relationships. I was consistently waking up at 4:30am durning the project to get it all done.

This one is another milestone.

Swirls !!! Yippie !!
